Mercedes Deernsted
With over 20 years of experience as a community consultant and coach, Mercedes partners with leaders to grow their capacity, confidence and impact within organizations and communities.
Mercedes brings experience in leadership development with an approach that is grounded, confidence driven and strengths-focused. She creates a space where leaders can slow down, think differently and explore what is beneath the surface of the challenges they are navigating.
Rather than directing, Mercedes believes coaching is about coming alongside her clients with care and curiosity, helping them uncover their own insight and see possibilities they may not yet be able to see for themselves. Her approach balances compassion with curiosity, creating both a supportive and challenging space for meaningful growth.
Mercedes brings a deep respect for each client’s complexity, while trusting that the wisdom and capability to move forward already exists within them.
Her coaching philosophy can be summed up as: “Trusting partnership and evolving possibility through care and compassion”.

Sometimes we find ourselves repeating patterns, questioning relationships, feeling disconnected from who we are, or wondering how we ended up where we are. Other times, life brings experiences that leave us trying to make sense of things we never expected to face. I’m naturally curious about people and the experiences that shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world around us. Together, we can explore the beliefs, expectations, and stories you’ve carried, how they’ve influenced your life, and whether they continue to serve you.
In our conversations, you can expect genuine curiosity, thoughtful questions, honesty, and sometimes a little challenge. We might explore familiar situations from a different perspective, question assumptions, or notice connections between experiences that previously seemed unrelated. I’ll share what I’m noticing and invite you to consider what resonates with you. There’s room for humour, disagreement, uncertainty, and difficult conversations.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent more than 15 years as an educator, working with children, adolescents, and families. Those experiences shaped my understanding of human behaviour, development, relationships, and the environments in which we grow. My curiosity about the emotional experiences beneath behaviour eventually led me into counselling.
I work with adults, adolescents, and couples navigating relationships, grief, anxiety, trauma, identity, self-worth, spirituality, and life transitions. My approach is person-centred, relational, and informed by several therapeutic perspectives. I consider the connections between our thoughts, emotions, bodies, beliefs, and lived experiences, including the ways spirituality, faith, or questioning long-held beliefs can shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us. Each person’s experiences deserve to be understood within their own context. You can come as you are, with whatever feels important, confusing, uncomfortable, or difficult to put into words. We’ll begin there.

Service… that’s why I do this.
Perhaps your story is similar to mine. I built a career, earned promotion after promotion and did everything right to impress the boss. Externally, it culminated in accolades and success. Internally, I felt an ache in my chest and a growing unease that I wasn’t living on purpose. I was adrift. It took a coach to help me name that story. They didn’t give me advice or map the direction. They held up a mirror to show me where I was stuck, trusted that the choice was mine to own, and supported me along the way. That experience clarified my core value of Service and led me to my own coaching journey.
I’m a Certified Executive Coach, trained in the art of seeing where you are, stretching your thinking and supporting you as your biggest fan. Over the past 10+ years, I’ve led large engineering, operations and commercial teams at the director level - driving change in complex organizations, developing leaders, building high-performing teams and guiding through crisis.
If my story resonates, let’s have a free chemistry call to explore how I can be of Service to you.

“You spend so much time showing up for others. What would it look like to show up for yourself, too?
Maybe you’re navigating relationships, exploring your identity, parenting a neurodivergent child, or trying to make sense of a brain that experiences the world a little differently. Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who you are outside of the roles you carry.
I’m Danielle, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and I work with adults who are finding their way through identity, relationships, caregiving, neurodivergence, and burnout. My approach is warm, curious, and affirming. I want therapy to be a space where you can feel understood, explore what matters to you, and make room for your own needs without feeling you have to be someone else.
You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. We can start wherever you are, move at your own pace, and work toward a life and relationships that feel more like you.
My motto is simple: “You are enough and together we can help you start believing it.”

Jen Weigel
No one should have to face the hardest moment of their life alone. That belief is why Jen became an executive coach.
“Borrow my belief in you, until you have your own.” That’s the principle she coaches from: people move not because they’re told to change, but because someone sees what they’re capable of before they can see it themselves.
As co-chair of the Stollery Children’s Hospital NICU FACT committee for two years, drawing on her own family’s experience navigating the NICU, Jen advocated for a parent-onboarding program now staffed by two paid positions supporting families through their journey. She also coached a leader on the hospital’s Patient and Family Centered Care team to move through her role with more meaning.
Jen brings the same principles to organizational leadership. In Alberta’s financial services industry, she led change efforts that turned unsustainable, high-turnover brokerage teams into culture-rich, process-driven ones, proof that the path to results, in any mission, runs through people feeling seen and connected to why their work matters.
Jen holds a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) designation from Royal Roads University, is completing her ICF accreditation, and holds a B.Mgt in Finance and Marketing from Concordia University of Edmonton.
